Produced by Futcher (Be Good Tanya’s/Hellenkeller), Balaclava Casino Heist is the follow up to The Future Isn’t What It Used To Be and is a further exploration to Girl Nobody’s identity. While still featuring Marta Jaciubek - McKeever’s vibrant lead vocals, the album also showcases the rest of the band’s vocal talents with dashing and defiant harmonies lead by Joey Turco (Guitar), James Northey (Guitar, Moog, Rhodes)
and Jeremiah Schneider (Bass). The band stays true to their trip-pop roots however, with the faster songs propelled by driving trip-hop and dub beats while the slower tracks have a more subtle back bone. Lyrically, “Balaclava Casino Heist” is a heart-break album but Girl Nobody never lose their charm and wit as they offer up another cheeky
response to the pop world.
