In 2018, Hamilton’s Ellevator wrapped up successful North American tours supporting Amber Run, Our Lady Peace, Matthew Good, BANNERS, Dear Rouge, and a stadium show with Cold War Kids, Bishop Briggs, and Arkells.

Today, the band officially announces their first headlining tour with stops throughout Ontario and Quebec. Joining them on tour are fellow Hamiltonians, Basement Revolver, with additional support from special guest Ellis in Toronto. Full tour dates can be found below.

Led by the haunting and ethereal vocals of Nabi Sue Bersche, Ellevator strikes a balance between catchy indie rock bands of the early aughts (Metric, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s) at their best and radio rock hit-makers (Arkells, Sam Roberts).

This year alone, Ellevator has had successful tours in the US/Canada supporting Our Lady Peace, Matthew Good, BANNERS, and a stadium show with Cold War Kids, Bishop Briggs, and Arkells. Tomorrow, the band heads out on yet another run supporting Dear Rouge. Full tour dates can be found below.

Today, the Hamilton-based band is sharing a brand new single, “The Storm”. The band explains that the track is “an apology and an explanation. It’s the turmoil in our personal skies caused by ending the relationship. It’s a reminder that I care about you, and that you can’t seek comfort in me anymore. Trust that I know you well enough to rightly believe we’re not eachother’s sun and stars- but don’t trust me- because I’m breaking your heart.”

Today, Hamilton’s Ellevator are sharing the new video for “New Survival” from their self-titled EP, out now on Arts & Crafts.“This song could easily be taken as an anthem encouraging you to shake off your past,” says frontwoman Nabi Sue Bersche. “But if anything, it’s about embracing who you’ve been and who you’re becoming and melding those into one.”

The video explores and dramatizes “that duality that exists in all of us,” says director Christopher Brown. “The person we feel we are and the person we are seen as. The person we have been and the person we’re constantly becoming. Our bold stage persona and the quieter one behind the curtain. We uncovered that there is both a tension and a harmony between these two opposing identities. So, this video is also less about abandoning an old identity for a new one, and more about discovering the place where those two identities blend into one."
