Ox

From the opening mission statement of Neil Young's 'Out On The
Weekend', to its final atmospheric moments, Ox's 5th album 'tUCo' meanders through its sonic explorations to arrive in twilight after an all night drive. No accident is out of place here- tape hiss, amp hum, bass drum rattle... the Ox noise machines are well oiled. It's no wonder- with their first film work, Mark Browning and co sound to have gone full circle since their stunning debut, 'Dust Bowl Revival' in 2004. Never has the band sounded this focused, or this cinematic in its soundscapes while simultaneously presenting their most compelling songs to date. It's Rhinestone Cowboy meets Bright Eyes with a sprinkle of The Flaming Lips.
