Episode 16 (October 2008)
As Promised on the last podcast, this episode features an interview with WOMEN, whose self titled debut on Flemish Eye was produced by Chad VanGaalen (we'll also be hearing some more material from Soft Airplane, Chad's latest on Flemish Eye). Mark Berube and Steve Dawson vie for the 'hardest-working-man-in-Canada' honours as Berube releases his What The Boat Gave The River within one year of his last record and Dawson releases Telescope, his second record of 2008. This episode of the Killbeat Podcast finds host Michael Elves finally catching up with Katie Stelmanis whose fantastic album Join Us came out at the very beginning of this year - it was worth the wait as she tells us about the genesis of the record and being part of the Blocks Recording collective. We've also got new material from Ayla Brook who will be the featured guest on the next episode - brace yourself for some fantastic live performances on that one as Ayla brought his guitar, as well as releases that aren't even in stores yet like the new Mardeen record!
