While Old Man Luedecke spent last winter in his backwoods cabin recording studio working on his latest record, Domestic Eccentric, this winter he’ll leave the confines of that cozy shelter for the highways of Western Canada, playing a string of tour dates. Tour dates begin January 21 and all performances are listed below.

To give viewers a glimpse of all that he leaves behind, Old Man Luedecke has revealed the new video for “Chester Boat Song”, filmed at his Chester, Nova Scotia cabin, in the heart of a cumbersome East Coast winter. “Let this video be a warning about how much snow we had in Nova Scotia earlier this year when we made the album!” claims Luedecke.

Since then, “it's been a great year of touring and album making.” Recently, Luedecke was the recipient of a Music Nova Scotia Americana/Bluegrass Recording of the Year Award for "I Never Sang Before I Met You" and got invited to go play banjos and have dinner with Steve Martin, “which I haven't recovered from,” says Luedecke.

PURCHASE DOMESTIC ECCENTRIC ON VINYL FROM TRUE NORTH

Out now via True North Records, and available on quality vinyl just in time for Christmas, Domestic Eccentric the album is mostly a record about home. It’s about what it means to be a still-youngish man, what it’s like to still be in love with the woman you started writing songs about and moved to the country with more than a decade ago, about what it’s like to watch your own babies grow to children, and about the joys and sorrows attendant upon the milestones of parenthood.

A record so replete with home seemed impossible to make anywhere else. So Old Man Luedecke fitted out his backwoods cabin, a hand-hewn affair he’d built himself from rough-sawn lumber, and hired a backhoe to make a 500 yard road through the record amounts of snow so he could bring in top-level recording gear. He invited Tim O’Brien to stay at his home with his family for a week of snowbound collaboration. Luedecke and O’Brien had worked together before, and their increasing comfort in each other’s musical presence has yielded spectacular results. “Tim is my favorite musician,” Luedecke says. “And working with him in a duet environment in a cabin at home was a waking dream.”

Tim O’Brien is a multiple Grammy Award winning roots multi-instrumentalist whose solo work and collaborations have made him one of the most respected American players working today. The two last worked together on Luedecke’s 2012 release, Tender Is The Night, which was nominated for a JUNO Award, listed for The Polaris Music Prize and won Album of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards.

Today Tei Shi shares her video for single "Get It" off of her critically acclaimed Verde EP, which was featured on Gorilla vs Bear's Top 50 Albums of 2015 list. The video, directed by DREAMTIGER (who also shot her video for "See Me"), was shot in Montreal this past summer where Tei Shi has also been working on her debut album. "Get It" was cut together with footage contributed by NASA, from their Cassini Mission satellite that tracks Saturn and its moons 24/7.

Following a sold out national tour with Years & Years, Tei Shi is also releasing her remix of their single "Eyes Shut".

On her live show, Noisey notes, "Tei Shi has grown into a captivating live performer...At last her headphones-intimate-bedroom music is translating to a mesmeric show, as she flips between bopping around the stage with a tambourine, to sensually swaying, when her tunes called for it." Gapers Block went on to say, "The highlight of the set came at the very end, when she unleashed a soaring soprano melody on ‘Bassically’, dropping jaws and earning a slow buildup of applause and cheers. Earlier in the song, there had been a section that sounded like whale-speak, so to hear Tei Shi burst out of that with her impossibly high notes was both unexpected and very impressive."

YUKON BLONDE ANNOUNCES 2016 CANADIAN HEADLINE TOUR

YUKON BLONDE ANNOUNCES 2016 HEADLINE TOUR

IN SUPPORT OF NEW ALBUM, ON BLONDE, OUT VIA DINE ALONE RECORDS

NEW VIDEO “I WANNA BE YOUR MAN” OUT NOW

."..every song on the Vancouver rockers' second album is an utter and complete summer jam: 10 euphoric exercises on saccharine,  psychedelic pop fit for the cottage,  the patio or for turning up so loud in your car that people on the sidewalk start to walk in sync with the uplifting synth notes and frantic high hats."
- CBC Music (Top Albums of 2015)

Two weeks ago Vancouver’s Yukon Blonde returned home from a tour with Hey! Rosetta that saw them travel clear across the country playing sold out shows at historic venues like Massey Hall, The Vogue, National Arts Centre, The Jack Singer and more. Now, they’re ready to do it all again. Beginning February 5 at home in Vancouver, the JUNO Award nominated and twice Polaris Music Prize listed band will take to the road for a month long tour that makes sure to stop in every province along the way. Full tour dates can be found below.

Out now via Dine Alone Records, Yukon Blonde’s On Blonde, produced and mixed by Tony Hoffer, (M83, Beck, Foster the People, Air, Depeche Mode) gazes wistfully away towards the more shadowy elements of pop production, soft synthesizers, punching bass lines, crushed drums, 80s cosmic pop compositions, and saturated psychedelic guitar effects.  It's more dynamic, more visceral, instantly accessible, and sonically denser than its predecessors - an ambitious, fully realized psychedelic pop record from a band truly in its ascendancy.

“spaced out and shimmering, with big bottom bass hooks and static, snappy guitar lines, disco ball-worthy synth washes” The Vancouver Sun
"There’s plenty here that would feel at home on a 1980s John Hughes soundtrack—and even dashes of Purple Rain-era Prince."  SPIN
“atmosphere, undeniable hooks and the maximalist expression of both” Exclaim!
"Heavenly, multi-part harmonies and ferocious strumming." - Alternative Press“On Blonde has more in common with the likes of psychedelic contemporaries Tame Impala." - Consequence of Sound
