Today is the day. Following a week-long Apple Music exclusive, River Tiber has released his long-gestating and highly-anticipated debut full length album Indigo. to the world. The Toronto producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, aka Tommy Paxton-Beesley’s new release furthers the silky, midnight-hued electronic R&B aesthetic of his previous EPs - 2015’s When The Time Is Right and 2013’s The Star Falls.

Indigo joins an ever-growing catalogue that features collaborations with Kaytranada, Pusha T, Daniel Caesar, Jazz Cartier, and more. The record sees Paxton-Beesley demonstrating his unique ability as a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and creative force. He writes, arranges, plays, and records almost every element on every composition, but also uses collaboration as a tool to generate and hone ideas.

In two short years River Tiber has developed a global reputation as a producer, not only for the acumen and singularity of vision demonstrated in his own music and collaborations, but also for his work with beat maker heavyweights like Frank Dukes that have lead to vocal placements and session credits on songs by Drake, Travis Scott, Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs, and more. Last year he also worked closely with friends BADBADNOTGOOD in arranging and playing cello, violin and trombone to the group’s Ghostface Killah collab Sour Soul and was one of just three Canadians selected to Red Bull Music Academy Paris in 2015.

River Tiber will play select shows through the rest of 2016, including WayHome Music & Arts Festival and Forecastle, with many more dates to be announced soon.

DONOVAN WOODS PREMIERES NEW VIDEO FROM POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE NOMINATED ALBUM, ANNOUNCES MORE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

DONOVAN WOODS PREMIERES VIDEO FOR “THEY DON’T MAKE ANYTHING IN THAT TOWN”

2016 POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE LISTED ALBUM HARD SETTLE, AIN’T TROUBLED OUT NOW

ACCLAIMED SONGWRITER ADDS MORE DATES TO FALL TOUR, SUMMER FESTIVAL STOPS BEGIN JULY 22

wistful songs that tug at the heartstrings of anyone who's had feelings about partners, ex-partners, where you're from, where you shouldn't have gone” - NOW Magazine NNNN

“a gentle, honest collection of melancholic observations and hushed tunefulness” - The Globe And Mail

“By balancing such fringe and mainstream elements so effortlessly, Woods looks poised to finally bring those disparate camps together. … he does it time and again” - Exclaim!

In advance of the August 12 U.S. release date for the 2016 Polaris Music Prize listed album Hard Settle, Ain’t Troubled and on the back of his signing to Warner/Chappell Music Publishing, Donovan Woods is sharing the video for “They Don’t Make Anything In That Town” courtesy of The Bluegrass Situation. Shot and directed by Duane Kelly, the clip is a beautifully rendered and poignant journey through loss and hope.

The Sarnia, Ontario born songwriter explains. “The title is too long, but go ahead and try to make it shorter - you can't. This is an amalgam of things that happened to me, things that happened to people I know, and things that I imagine ought to have happened. The town I'm from ain't at all this bleak,” Woods continues, “I just tried to make something indicative of a place full of people suffering under the weight of a town's slow-down. Economic problems become personal problems, or health problems, or relationship problems really quickly,” he muses. “Really, the only thing I've found all that satisfying in my life is making tangible things that people can use and it's about that too.

Donovan Woods’ extraordinary songwriting talent has earned him rave reviews from the likes of Noisey who praised his “knack for taking huge, universal feelings and distilling them into simple, poignant moments, ” while The Toronto Star noted that “Woods has long been one of Canada’s best kept secrets…but word is starting to get around…and filtering all the way down to Nashville.” Even Rolling Stone and Billboard have weighed in, describing his songwriting on Charles Kelley’s (Lady Antebellum) version of  “Leaving Nashville” as “stark, stunning” and “an emotional wallop.”

Woods now splits his time between Nashville and Toronto where he has not only crafted and recorded rousing, critically acclaimed music for his own catalogue but has penned songs for a host of talented performers that also include Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, Alan Doyle, Matt Andersen and more.

The Ontario performer recently announced a string of North American tour dates and festival stops in further support of Hard Settle, Ain’t Troubled and has added to that run today with engagements now scheduled in Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Saskatoon and more. ANDY SHAUF ANNOUNCES CANADIAN TOUR DATES IN SUPPORT OF POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE LISTED NEW ALBUM 'THE PARTY'

ANDY SHAUF ANNOUNCES CANADIAN TOUR DATES IN SUPPORT OF POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE LISTED NEW ALBUM

SASKATCHEWAN ARTIST NOMINATED FOR SOCAN SONGWRITING PRIZE

THE PARTY OUT NOW VIA ARTS & CRAFTS

“Partygoers collapse or embarrass themselves; strings, clarinets and lush Harry Nilsson-style moments all add to the snapshot of an accomplished new voice.” - The Guardian

“The Party charms and troubles, playing like the soundtrack to a particularly devastating film noir. …simply marvellous. - 9/10 Exclaim!

both beautiful and beautifully troubling – understated, imaginative chamber pop.” - Irish Times

“Shauf can locate the game-changing chord that great songs pivot on, for which lesser talents fumble in vain. The Party conceals killer lyrics in music of extraordinary beauty and lushness.” - The Sunday Times (UK)

NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES WITH CASE/LANG/VEIRS BEGIN TODAY

Highly praised young singer-songwriter Andy Shauf recently released The Party via Arts & Crafts to widespread international acclaim. Now, the album has found its way onto the long list for The 2016 Polaris Music Prize while the artist himself is currently vying for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize

After putting the wraps on a string of European tour dates with The Lumineers, Andy Shauf has now returned to North America for performances with case/lang/veirs that include stops in Victoria and Vancouver and will also appear at The Winnipeg Folk Festival and Hillside Festival in July. Today the Regina-based artist announces a Canadian headline tour in support of The Party that kicks off on October 7 in Saskatoon and makes its way to Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and more. All tour dates can be found below.

The Regina-based songwriter gained international attention with his previous album, The Bearer of Bad News. NPR called that record one of “2015's most breathtaking albums” and “an appropriately titled collection of mostly grim tales about small town drug addicts, murderous lovers and other weary underachievers.” The song “Wendell Walker” from the record was recently nominated for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize.

The Party is not exactly a concept record, but it was a way for the singer-songwriter to get out of his own head. An after-party record, more like it. Or for the hangover the next day, when only Shauf’s songs can make any sense of the emotionally-charged scenarios that played out the night before. When The Party was over, Shauf had no regrets—even if its characters have more than a few. You’re invited to The Party. It’s one you’ll never forget.
