"I love saying the title to this song out loud just as much as I love singing it,” says Loder. “Artists, and lots of other people, are big feelers. We can't stow our emotions on shelves or pack it in bags and just not look at it. We have to feel it even if it means being sad through the summer because our hearts got broken in the month of May".

There is something truly captivating about JUNO Award nominee and the ECMA 2023 Songwriter and Fan’s Choice Entertainer of the Year Kellie Loder. Loder is pleased to announce their upcoming album, Transitions, set to drop on April, 19 2024. The LP follows on the heels of their award-winning release, Benefit of The Doubt (2018), offering a stunningly crafted masterpiece of original songs with stories of love, heartbreak, life, and transitions. “When It Comes to You”, the lead single charted in the coveted #1 spot on CBC Music’s Top 20 and the chart’s #1 most voted for song of 2023, gives listeners a glimpse of the pure authenticity of one of Newfoundland’s most promising and celebrated songwriters. As spoken by Howie Mandal and Simon Cowell (Canada’s Got Talent), Loder has a bright future ahead, and one thing is for certain, Kellie Loder is a towering talent about to explode on the world stage.

Today, Loder is also sharing a crowd sourced video for a new single from the upcoming album, “When We Kiss”, a song about “the most romantic night of my life,” recalls Loder. “I found myself at signal hill with someone I just met that night, looking at the lights of the city, her eyes, and having the Best. Kiss. Ever. (aka. multiple kisses).”

“I wrote it the day after it happened, at my kitchen table in St. John’s in September of 2017, and it may have been the easiest song I’ve ever written. I’ve been performing it at live shows for what seems like forever and now it’ll finally live on an album.

“A lot of the songs I write come from a chaotic place but usually with the option of calm. I've never been one to lead my listeners down a road of ‘this is my life right now and here's why it's hard’ without giving them a glimmer of relief. I like to create avenues off the hard road that might lead to a lighter place. Call me an optimist, I guess. This song however is all rainbows and butterflies, which rarely happens for me and my writing, but I really enjoy being in that place.”

“When We Kiss” arrives today complete with a crowd sourced video. "Working on this video has been a highlight career and the highlight of my year, so far,” says Loder. “Receiving so many submissions from fans of different genders, sexualtiies, ethnicities, and geographic location, I chose to piece together these videos myself to honour the vision I had. I hope the fans are as proud of it as I am. Love looks the same for every face it's on."
