Warner/Chappell Music is pleased to announce the signing of Donovan Woods. Hailing from Sarnia, Woods now splits his time between Nashville and Toronto where he has not only crafted and recorded rousing, critically acclaimed music for his own catalogue but has also penned songs for a host of talented performers including Tim McGraw, Charles Kelley (Lady Antebellum), Billy Currington, and Alan Doyle.

In addition to the signing, Woods has announced a string of North American tour dates and festival stops in support of his latest album. Hard Settle, Ain’t Troubled is available now in Canada and will be released in the U.S. this summer. Full tour dates can be found below.

Woods’ extraordinary songwriting talent has earned him rave reviews from the likes of Noisey who praised his “knack for taking huge, universal feelings and distilling them into simple, poignant moments.” The Toronto Star noted that “Woods has long been one of Canada’s best kept secrets…but word is starting to get around…and filtering all the way down to Nashville.”  Even Rolling Stone and Billboard have weighed in, describing his work on Charles Kelley’s “Leaving Nashville” as “stark, stunning” and “an emotional wallop.”

Of the signing, Ben Vaughn, EVP for Warner/Chappell Nashville says "We are so excited to be a part of Donovan's career as he grows more into the Nashville market. Artists such as Tim McGraw and Charles Kelley, along with leading A&R executives are coming to understand how powerful Donovan's lyrical and melodic perspectives are in his songs."

Woods adds, "I'm really excited to be joining the team at Warner/Chappell Nashville. They were the first publisher I got to know when I arrived in Nashville, and were supportive and encouraging right off the bat, so it makes sense to me that the next chapter in my work moves forward with them."
