Recorded December 8, 2017, Terra Lightfoot’s Massey Hall concert took place three months after the release of her acclaimed album New Mistakes, which would go on to be nominated for a JUNO and longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize. For this memorable performance, Lightfoot was joined onstage by Daniel Lanois (who played guitar on “You Get High”), and Melissa McClelland (harmony vocals on “Stars Over Dakota”) of Whitehorse, who Lightfoot was supporting that evening.

‘Playing Massey Hall was one of the most memorable moments of my career,” Lightfoot beams. “Last year, it seemed like my band and I had visited every part of the globe — Japan, Australia, Europe and the UK, plus Canada and the US. Along the way, I had a lot of incredible experiences, climbed mountains real and metaphoric. And Massey Hall was one. I was honoured to play that room, thrilled that the concert was captured and excited to be able to share it with fans.”

In the year since that landmark concert, Lightfoot and her band have played across North America, Europe and Australia, alongside artists such as Willie Nelson, The Posies, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Sheepdogs, Jim Cuddy, Matt Mays and William Crighton.

Lightfoot continues to seek out new peaks, recently developing and curating The Longest Road Show, a new tour that will cross Ontario in February 2019, featuring a bill co-headlined by Lightfoot, Lindi Ortega and Begonia.
