Today, 21-year old genre-bending artist Charlie Houston shares “Bitches In The Bathroom,” her first new single since the release of her debut 5-song EP I Hate Spring. “Bitches In The Bathroom” was inspired by the all-too-relatable experience of not being able to use the bathroom at a party because it’s full of people gossiping and filming videos for TikTok. The upbeat indie pop single poses an important question: "Bitches in the bathroom, whatchu want?” As the world slowly re-opens and bleary-eyed college kids return to bars and clubs, Houston’s anthem is certain to be both an uplifting soundtrack and cautionary tale for partying in 2022.

“Bitches In The Bathroom” follows Houston’s debut I Hate Spring EP release earlier in 2021. The 5-song collection which covered timeless themes like first kisses, messy breakups and summer flings earned the praises of Zane Lowe, NPR, SPIN, and many more.

PRAISE FOR CHARLIE HOUSTON

“Her debut EP I Hate Spring casts back to timeless memories of fumbling early romance—first kisses, messy breakups, and short-lived flirtations are all soundtracked by weightless indie pop and R&B stylings.” - Under The Radar

“It’s a striking debut, an unguarded, ultra-personal tapestry—stories of heartbreak and struggle, sung in her soothing, signature voice.” - SPIN

“‘Things’ is an unadulterated look at youthful insecurities and unrequited affection. Over a somber but punchy backdrop, she delivers an evocative performance that is ripe with honesty.” - EARMILK

“Charlie Houston's bouncy contemporary R&B-inflected pop straightforwardly addresses the meaningful mundanities of Gen Z life.” - Bandcamp “New and Notable”
