HAERTS have released “No Love For The Wild” the fourth track from their hauntingly transparent sophomore album, New Compassion. The highly-anticipated follow-up to their 2014 self-titled record, which featured their breakout hit “Wings” was announced for release October 5 via Arts and Crafts.

“No Love For The Wild” is about a love that is deeply connected yet completely free. It’s the outcry in the moment in which you lose faith in that kind of love and the hope to be proven wrong." – Nini Fabi on “No Love For The Wild”

HAERTS has also announced a string of North American tour dates with a stop in Toronto on December 8. Full tour dates can be found below.

Following a split with Columbia Records after their debut full-length, which gathered praise from NPR, New York Times, Pitchfork, NOISEY, Billboard, and saw the band secure festival slots at Coachella, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, HAERTS struggled with the sudden feeling of falling and the anxieties that accompany a shift in life.

The band filled the voids they felt through writing, recording and self-producing New Compassion, an album that echoes the path they took to create it. Nini Fabi and Benny Gebert set out to freely create something, regardless of outcome, leaving New York City for the isolation of the Hudson Valley, choosing busy hands over lingering sorrows.

The rawness in the emotions of New Compassion have already begun to ripple throughout listeners. NYLON, Refinery29, Paste, Seventeen, and BuzzFeed have praised the album’s title track, “New Compassion”. Additionally, Season Kent, the music supervisor for the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, selected “Your Love” as the pivotal track for a powerful montage sequence in Episode 6. With the soundtracks release, the anthemic single, which Noisey described as “raw and honest,” quickly gathered 6 million streams worldwide.

HAERTS have announced New Compassion, the highly-anticipated follow-up to their 2014 self-titled record which will be released on October 5 via Arts and Crafts. The sophomore album is a story of transformation and unwavering persistence. But that isn’t where it started. With eleven songs that each take a unique look at love, New Compassion began as a self-therapeutic manner of recovering from an unfathomable loss.

Following their split with Columbia Records after the release of their 2014 self-titled record, which featured their breakout hit “Wings” and gathered praise from NPR, New York Times, Pitchfork, NOISEY, Billboard, and saw the band secure festival slots at Coachella, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, HAERTS struggled with the sudden feeling of falling and the anxieties that accompany a shift in life. The band left New York City for the isolation of the Hudson Valley, choosing busy hands over lingering sorrows.

The longtime kindred souls – Nini Fabi and Benny Gebert – set out to freely create something, regardless of outcome, unsure if anyone would ever hear the finished product. They filled the voids they felt through writing, recording and self-producing New Compassion, an album that echoes the path they took to create it.

HAERTS are excited to drop another new track, “The Way”, co-written and co-produced by their close friend Jean-Philip Grobler (St. Lucia), who also leant his talents to previous single, “New Compassion”.

“‘The Way’ is about this powerful and mystical intangible. Some deep ancient knowledge in us – impossible to explain, but that which takes away fear, gives strength, and transforms us, even though nothing is permanent.” — Nini / HAERTS

“The Way” closely follows “New Compassion”, which Under the Radar called “anthemic” and included in their 10 Best Songs of the Week and NYLON described as a “joyous indie pop gem”. “Your Love”, which was featured in Season 2 of Netflix’s hit series 13 Reasons Why, is one of the most streamed songs on the soundtrack, racking up more than 5M plays. The song also garnered praise from Variety, Billboard, Refinery29, Under the Radar, BlackBook, DuJour, Seventeen, BuzzFeed, and more.

In September, the band will head to the U.K. and Germany for a handful of dates, including a headline show in London that SOLD OUT months in advance and an appearance at Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg alongside the likes of Bishop Briggs, Soccer Mommy, Sigrid and more.

All three new songs are available today via all DSPs, please stay tuned to haertsmusic.com for tour dates and more news.
