On May 10, Tamino will release his live EP titled Live At Ancienne Belgique which includes three incredible live interpretations of "Persephone", "Indigo Night", "So It Goes", as well as a spectacular rendition Chris Cornell's "Seasons".

Of the live shows, Tamino says:

“These shows meant a lot to me. We’d been touring non stop around the globe and it felt wonderful to be back in our home country playing three shows in one of the most beautiful venues of Belgium. Couldn’t have imagined a better way to present my debut album. Grateful for everyone who was there.

The first of the three nights at the AB I tried out a Chris Cornell cover (‘Seasons’) in the encore. It’s a beautiful song that has meant a lot for me when I was a teenager (and still does). I hope I did the song and its writer justice.

On a couple of songs we were joined by our friend Colin Greenwood, which made the shows even more unforgettable. You’ll hear him play on ‘Indigo Night’ and on ‘So It Goes’.”

Including sold out show across Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Ireland, The United Kingdom and more. Recently, he announced his first headline stadium show in Nov 2019 at Antwerp’s Lotto Arena.

The BBC hailed Amir as “The New Sound Of The Nile” an ode to Tamino’s grandfather the famed Egyptian singer and movie star Muharram Fouad. The Independent included Amir in their top 10 albums of 2018 and asked “Is Tamino the heir to Jeff Buckley?”. Tamino won the Anchor Award at Germany’s 2018 Reeperbahn festival and has been nominated for 5 MIA Award’s in Belgium.

Tamino is making a splash in the fashion world and is featured alongside supermodel Gisele Bündchen in Missoni’s SS19 Collection. During Paris Fashion week he was featured “in conversation” with Maison Valentino and performed a solo version of “Indigo Nights”; watch here. Most recently, he has been featured in Vogue Hommes’ latest 14 page spread which was photographed by critically lauded photographer Paolo Roversi.

“While Toronto’s major international breakout acts of this decade have mostly made pop, hip-hop and R&B. PUP are a rare exception – a band racking up award nominations, streaming and chart numbers, YouTube views and worldwide fans, and doing it by making scrappy punk-influenced guitar rock.” – NOW Toronto

"With singalong ready – yet downright nihilistic – refrains and a pristine punk sound, PUP’s 'Kids' has the makings of an apocalyptic anthem." - NPR Music (Night Shift)

"It's raucous and death-obsessed and silly all at once, packed with chant-along vocals and spindly riffs. " - Noisey

“Charging gleefully towards insanity…’Kids’ embraces the misery by wrapping it in melodic, driven punk chords and thunderous gang-vocals.” - Consequence of Sound

“The [Late Night with Seth Meyers] performance found frontman Stefan Babcock alternating between a conversational sneer and a full-throated wail as he unspooled the song’s lyrics about finding that one person that makes the misery of life just a bit more bearable...a blistering rendition” - Rolling Stone

“[PUP] showed a whole ton of intensity and enthusiasm [on Late Night with Seth Meyers]...Let’s get on this earlier, late-night bookers!” - Stereogum

Toronto’s very own punk powerhouse – PUP – will release their new record Morbid Stuff in April, and today the band shares not one but two new songs from the album – “Sibling Rivalry” and “Scorpion Hill”. "Sibling Rivalry" is a song for Stefan's sister and their annual disaster-filled camping trips, and the epic "Scorpion Hill", which Stefan says is "about embracing your demons and finding some humour in the darkness," is the longest PUP song ever released, with an accordion outro to boot.

This Spring, PUP will embark on a North America, UK and Europe tour in support of Morbid Stuff. All Canadian dates are already sold out, as are New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Portland, Minneapolis, Washington DC, Toronto, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Cologne and all of the U.K. The band also just announced a hometown show in Toronto at Echo Beach on July 21st, with support from Twin Peaks and Charly Bliss. See below to find a show near you, and grab your tickets HERE as these are selling fast.

Formed in Toronto five years ago, PUP – comprised of Stefan Babcock, Nestor Chumak, Zack Mykula, and Steve Sladowski – quickly became favorites of the punk scene with their first two, critically-beloved albums, winning accolades everywhere from the New York Times to Pitchfork, from NPR and Rolling Stone, and more. Now, with Morbid Stuff, PUP have grown up and doubled down on everything that made you love their first two records. It’s gang’s-all-here vocals, guitarmonies, and lyrics about death. Lots of them. Fitting to their ethos, their new album takes the dichotomy of fun and emotional wreckage in their songs and teeters between gleeful chaos and bleak oblivion while wielding some of the best choruses the band has ever written. It’s the most insightful, sweetest, funniest, sickest, angriest, saddest and most inescapably desperate collection of songs they’ve recorded to date.  If their self-titled record was the fuse and The Dream Is Over was the bomb going off, Morbid Stuff is your family sifting through the rubble, only to find you giggling while you bleed to death.
