“It’s Jacques Greene operating on an entirely new level — his fullest and glossiest work to date, from the rapturous opening track ‘Serenity’ to the outward expanse of ‘Stars.’” - The FADER

“Spacious and atmospheric, the emotive track is built around its titular vocal sample which twists and turns on a bed of breakbeats, fading in and out like a dream interrupted.”
- Billboard, on “Do It Without You”

“It’s spacious and breakbeat-heavy, leaner and more utilitarian than anything on Greene’s last album (2017’s ‘Feel Infinite’) without sacrificing that album’s sense of late-night transcendence.” - SPIN

Today, Jacques Greene releases the video for new single, “For Love”, from his forthcoming album, Dawn Chorus, out October 18 via Arts & Crafts. “For Love” follows lead single “Do It Without You” and early single “Night Service” (Feat. Cadence Weapon).

Greene approached the making of Dawn Chorus as if he were a band. He lived in the studio for five months this past winter – half the time at home in Toronto, the other half in Hudson Mohawke’s studio in L.A. – and wrote these songs in a sprint to capture this chapter in his life. While samples played a big part in his early output, his creative process for Dawn Chorus revolved around recording a stellar cast of musicians, arranging new parts. As a result, it’s his most collaborative project to date, featuring additional production and instrumentation from film composer Brian Reitzell (Lost In Translation), cello by London’s Oliver Coates, additional production from Clams Casino and original vocal contributions from ambient artist Julianna Barwick, rapper Cadence Weapon and singers Ebhoni and Rochelle Jordan, all sampled, processed and stitched back into the album.

To craft the sound of the record, he thought about the artists he held dear and researched the gear they used as a means of being in dialogue with their emotional tenor. Some of the gear he sourced included the delay that My Bloody Valentine was renowned for, as well as a compressor used by French Touch producers Alan Braxe and Fred Falke. Working with mix engineer Joel Ford (of Ford & Lopatin), he created a rule book for the album’s sonics that saw each part, from the drums to the pads, be processed in a specific way, through guitar pedals and outboard equipment.

Surrounding the release of Dawn Chorus, Greene will play select shows in Europe and the UK before returning to North America. All dates can be found below and tickets are on sale now.

AMIR DELUXE LP OUT OCTOBER 18 VIA ARTS & CRAFTS

“[a voice] which soars from a throaty croon to a glass-shattering falsetto in a single breath” – BBC

“The promise was bigger than we ever imagined” – NPR

“22 year old musician Tamino-Amir Moharam Fouad’s effortless and inherent talent has gained him quick notoriety among not only his fans in Europe but leaps and bounds beyond continental borders with the release of his debut album Amir” - Northern Transmissions

Tamino is very pleased to share a very special filmed recording of “Intervals” featuring the Nagham Zirkayat Orchestra. It features on the deluxe version of his debut album, Amir, which is released on the October 18 through Arts & Crafts.

Tamino’s collaboration with the Brussels based Nagham Zikrayat is almost the dictionary definition of serendipity. Although the majority of the playing heard on Amir is the man himself, he is joined by this collective across a handful of songs. The Firka (orchestra) is predominantly made up of professional musicians from the Middle East, most of which have refugee status having predominantly fled from Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia and Syria. Members of the orchestra are long-standing fans of Tamino’s late grandfather, a famous actor-musician in the golden age of Egyptian cinema. They contacted Tamino to request his performance at a concert in honour of his late grandfather. Not being a native speaker, Tamino politely declined but invited the orchestra to assist him in the making of Amir. Watch him perform a stunning rendition of “Intervals” with their assistance live from Jet Studios to get a feel for what they offer to his sound.

Having just wrapped a run of Canadian tour dates, Tamino will make a very special, first trip out to the Middle East and North Africa in October, taking in debut shows in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey. The demand for his arrival out there is testament to the word of mouth momentum that Amir has already accumulated outside the typical touring countries that he’s already made his name within. He then returns to Europe in November with two new UK shows in Manchester and The Scala in London in early December, his biggest UK so far.

Amir was produced by PJ Maertens and Jo Francken, and recorded at both Maertens’ house in Belgium and at Audiworkx Studios in Holland.

It’s been a breakthrough year for 22-year-old Tamino Moharam Fouad, the Antwerp based musician of Egyptian and Lebanese heritage, with his voice infiltrating the far corners of Europe and beyond building a fanatical fanbase around his startling, visceral, and stirring emotive sound.

Amir is a record that is proving a real word-of-mouth success, ending 2018 in The Independent’s Albums of the Year and finding support on the BBC, NPR, and a variety of high-profile European television and radio stations. It’s not just the media that have been picking up on Tamino’s power, but fellow musicians too. This year Tamino has performed with Lana Del Rey at her request, and he counts Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood as a bandmate now (who also features on a selection of recordings on Amir playing bass guitar).

Over the course of Amir, Tamino captures a range of emotions from romance to desolation, and almost everything in between. It’s mood music, painted in a number of different shades. This deluxe release will act as a timely reminder of what makes Tamino such a special young artist, and shows the progression he has soon made from those initial demo recordings right through to his stunning live sound of today.

YOKE LORE RETURNS WITH “DEAD RINGER”

LISTEN AND SHARE “DEAD RINGER” HERE

TOUR DATES BEGIN SEPTEMBER 28 WITH SUPPORT FORM BAD BAD HATS, EXES, FUTURE GENERATIONS, AND RUNNER

“Adrian Galvin's solo act is a delicious mixture of folk, pop and electronic that constantly keeps listeners on their toes.” -  MTV

Today, Yoke Lore releases track "Dead Ringer" in anticipation of his North American headline tour. The stirring single is debuted alongside a remix by Young & Sick. The song, which grapples with Adrian Glavin’s interpretation of pace and emotion, gets an EDM take with his wistful, hypnotic vocals over an upbeat dance melody.

Of the track, Adrian explains, "'Dead Ringer' is about pace. I like to move fast because I believe in progress over perfection. I get over things fast and like to move on to the next thing quickly. It helps me stay unattached. So that I don't get bogged down by loss or defeat. Because I'm also a sensate. I feel heavily and take the world personally. So I use to speed to defend against my faults." He expands, "but when you move quickly, you miss certain aspects of the journey. I could be missing out on some really wonderful information that I would get if I stopped to smell the roses once in a while. I worry that when something or someone really important comes around, I will be moving too quickly to catch it or them."

Last week, Yoke Lore unveiled track "Everybody Wants To Be Loved" with NVDES. Stepping away from the chill sound of his most recent Meditations EP, the single blends Adrian's idyllic vocals with an infectious beat for an irresistibly fun electronic jam that is sure to have you on your feet.

After putting out three acclaimed EPs which gained Yoke Lore a loyal following— Far Shore (2016), Goodpain (2017), and Absolutes (2018) — 2019’s Meditations stripped several of Galvin’s familiar songs to their core by trading the usual electronic elements for arrangements of piano, horns, and strings. In addition to these re-interpretations, listeners found two new studio songs on the Meditations EP. This fall Galvin is set to embark on his first national headlining tour heading across the country, playing premiere venues in cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Chicago along the way.
