Electronic music icon TIGA announces his forthcoming album HOTLIFE, set for release on April 17, 2026, with a long-awaited new single “ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME” out today as a collaborative release via Montreal’s Turbo Recordings and Secret City Records. The Canadian producer, DJ, and label head delivers an emotive masterpiece, blurring the lines between eloquent introspection and peak-time club euphoria.

“ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME” sparked an Instagram riot way back in 2023 when Tiga teased a brief excerpt. Fans flooded his DMs with thousands of pleas to release the track immediately. Nearly three years later, we’re finally answering the call. “It’s rewarding to write lyrics that resonate with people on a personal level,” confides Tiga. “Here’s a little something off the dome right now: ’There’s so much to discover / Under the covers / In the backseat of my Audi machine…’ I mean, it’s like breathing to me.”

On “ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME,” Tiga returns to reveal the most important hallways of the human heart, breathing new, sensual life into the Overt Power Romance genre. The track is written with frequent collaborator Matthew Dear (also known as Audion) and completed with new best friends Jump Source (ie Montreal’s rising duo of Priori and Patrick Holland). The cryptically autobiographical lyrics and heartrending 80s synth-pop atmospherics contrast with the singer-producer’s penchant for impossibly muscular bangers.

“You have to live with every track you make,” says Tiga. “But you don’t love all your tracks the same. I love this track with all my heart because it makes me feel like the artist I want to be. It’s forced me to become a better man, a better father, and a pillar of my community. I will never be able to fully repay this song all I owe, but I can make it the closing tune of the best album I have ever made. That will have to be enough."

“ECSTASY SURROUNDS ME” continues a series of singles planned for release in 2025, a display of adrenaline-soaked generosity culminating in Tiga’s first studio album in over a decade - HOTLIFE - which features global artists such as Fcukers, Boys Noize, Maara, and MRD.

MORE ABOUT TIGA
TIGA, born in Montreal, is a globally renowned DJ, producer, and the creative force behind Turbo Recordings. His journey began in the vibrant chaos of the 1980s Indian club scene, where he developed a deep appreciation for electronic music’s transformative power. Returning to Montreal in the early 1990s, TIGA pioneered a new wave of nightlife, introducing innovative party concepts, guest DJs, and Montreal’s first rave, “Solstice,” in 1993. His relentless pursuit of musical excellence saw him co-founding the legendary nightclub Sona, creating a sanctuary for bold, cutting-edge dance music, while his label Turbo Recordings became a launchpad for numerous iconic releases in electronic music from legends such as Chromeo, Azari & III, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont, ANNA, and Charlotte de Witte.

There’s always been a fertile creative tension at the heart of TIGA’s music: on the one hand he’s the underground techno don, on the other, there’s a pop sensibility that enables him to write great songs. It’s this duality that makes him one of electronic music’s most engaging characters. He’s about as far from your faceless techno DJ as it’s possible to get.

As a producer, TIGA achieved global recognition with his chart-topping cover of “Sunglasses at Night,” a collaboration with Zyntherius, which became an anthem for electro enthusiasts. His remix credits include high-profile artists such as The xx, LCD Soundsystem, Moby, Depeche Mode, and Justice, solidifying his reputation as a master of reinvention. TIGA’s contribution to the prestigious DJ Kicks series showcased his eclectic style, while his original works, including the hit single “Pleasure from the Bass,” cemented his place in the pantheon of electronic music.

With his infectious creativity and a career spanning decades, TIGA continues to captivate audiences worldwide, shaping the sound of modern club culture. All the while, TIGA has toured the world extensively, playing legendary festivals and nightclubs such as Coachella, Sónar Festival, Berghain, Stereo Montreal, and Tomorrowland.

SHORT FILM - SOUTHERN STAR - STARRING VOLLEBEKK AND AURORA FORTHCOMING

U.S. HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF NOV. 3 IN CHICAGO + EUROPE TOUR ANNOUNCED FOR FEBRUARY 2026

Today, Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leif Vollebekk shares a new version of his song “Southern Star,” featuring award-winning Norwegian artist AURORA. The track originates from Vollebekk’s forthcoming short film of the same name, starring both Leif & AURORA together as characters in the story. A music video for “Southern Star,” composed of scenes from the film, accompanies the song released today. The short film Southern Star will premiere at a later date, with additional details to be announced soon.

Conceived by Vollebekk and directed by longtime collaborator and award-winning filmmaker Kaveh Nabatian, the film merges the cinematic tone of Vollebekk’s Revelation album with his visual storytelling.

“Revelation always reminded me of a dream sequence, the songs felt like a little movie, and I wanted to see that movie,” Vollebekk says. “AURORA and I had been fans of each other’s music for years and kept talking about finding the right way to collaborate. When I mentioned I couldn’t find a lead actor for a film I was working on, she simply said, ‘I’ll do it. Come to Norway.’ Two weeks later, we were filming. I can’t thank her enough for what she brought to it - her radiant presence, her generosity, and that unmistakable voice.”

Vollebekk will kick off his U.S. tour in early November 2025, with a newly announced European tour set for February 2026.

The announcement arrives during an extraordinary period for Vollebekk. This fall, he will embark on his largest U.S. headline tour to date, including stops at Webster Hall in New York City and The Bellwether in Los Angeles, followed by a full European tour in February 2026. Earlier this year, he sold out his biggest Australian tour to date and joined Mumford & Sons on their Railroad Revival Tour, as well as supporting Gregory Alan Isakov at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Jacob Collier across Europe. Vollebekk also appeared at the You Got Gold John Prine tribute at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and will perform at Noah Kahan’s Out Of The Blue Festival in early 2026.

His song “Moondog” saw a recent resurgence after a feature in Netflix’s hit series Untamed, charting on Shazam’s Top 10 in Canada and Australia, #13 in the UK, #15 in the U.S., and #35 worldwide.

Vollebekk’s latest album, Revelation, has been hailed by critics and fans alike since its release. Recorded at Sunset Sound and Dreamland in Woodstock, the album feels both spiritual and grounded, an exploration of time, nature, and consciousness that blends narrative lyrics and one-take vocal performances with lush, cinematic arrangements. Inspired by Jung’s I Ching and the science of alchemy, Revelation reflects on the mysteries of the divine and the beauty of impermanence.

An artist’s artist, Vollebekk self-produced Revelation, performing piano, guitar, bass, B3 organ, harmonica, accordion, and Moog synthesizer, alongside a cast of legendary collaborators including Jim Keltner (drums), Cindy Cashdollar (steel guitar), and Shahzad Ismaily (bass), with additional vocals from Angie McMahon and Anaïs Mitchell. The album was mixed by Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Arctic Monkeys, Tracy Chapman) and mastered by Greg Calbi.

Today, Skinny Dyck - the playful performing artistic alias of Western Canadian artist Ryan Dyck, releases More Easy EP. Out via Victory Pool Records, the EP is a collection of alternate versions and B-Sides from his latest album, Easygoing, which was recently nominated for The Western Canadian Music Award’s Recording of the Year.

“The songs on this EP have a common thread of general ‘My Dad’ - that's how I have his contact in my phone - inspirations,” says Dyck. “Prairie landscapes like the Sweetgrass Hills, small towns like Eastend, Sask. Wallace Stegner's ‘Wolf Willow’ has to be one of the best and most poetic accounts of frontier life on the Canadian plains. A time when life was hard and hopes were often few.”

To help celebrate today’s release, Skinny Dyck is sharing the live performance video of EP tracks “Tired Out” and “Easygoing (More Easy)” featuring Austin Parachoniak on guitar. “‘Tired Out’ borrows a few lines from Stegner’s book. You can play this song in the moments of quiet twilight before sunrise and try not to worry about your day.”

MORE ABOUT EASYGOING
Recorded in basements and ad-hoc studio environments by Skinny and his co-producer Aladean Kheroufi, the album's diverse textures are well-balanced by twangy guitars and steel alongside less expected elements like synth hooks and congas. There is a pleasing straightforwardness to the music of Skinny Dyck. His voice is clean and clear (and usually nestled in a bed of lush reverb), the songs are held together with spacious instrumentation and smart, tasty hooks (including Dyck's signature pedal steel work), and the band is right on the money, everything in its right place and not a note wasted. This shouldn't come as a surprise, as Kheroufi (a multi-faceted musician and songwriter in his own right) applied some of the old school, minimalist recording techniques he picked up while interning at Daptone Records years ago, and he has been at the core of Skinny's live band (alongside drummer Clayton Smith) for the last handful of years. So when Dyck and Kheroufi (along with main album drummer Cameron O'Neill) hit the basement to lay down these songs, it was as easy as slipping into a pair of old jeans. And that sprightly, jazz-inflected lead guitar work comes courtesy of Winnipeg's Austin Parachoniak, who helped bring a whiff of Merle Haggard's '80s band to the mix.

Easygoing had its finishing touches applied by the prime candidate for the role, celebrated mix engineer Mark Nevers, whose credit list is a veritable who's who of fresh, forward thinking songwriters and bands that exist in the between-genre sphere. Artists such as Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Silver Jews, Calexico, Andrew Bird, Bill Callahan, and Lambchop have benefited from Nevers' touch, a blend of his trusted ears and vintage analog gear. As a mixer who began working in the traditional Country & Western scenes and slowly gravitated to the more expansive world of indie music, Nevers was a fitting choice for the job.

WATCH / SHARE “GROUND FLOOR” HERE

And this notion of “country but not” courses through Easygoing in a pretty tangible way, its success partially measured by how unnoticeable it is. Take “Nosedive” for example – what might be one of the album's more traditional “boots kickin' up dust” kind of song features a deeply psychedelic spoken word outro, with enigmatic vocals bubbling through a thick web of analog delay; it's truly a unique blend of approaches – and it works. Elsewhere, things continue to pair nicely, with conga drums undercutting sparkling lead guitar and the occasional synth flourish, and “Lean In” features a delicious bass line that sounds as if it was plucked straight from a vintage James Jamerson-played Motown track. The combination of the band's cool chug and Dyck's classic songwriting moves on title track “Easygoing” recall the endless-horizon feel of classic War on Drugs, another band who've managed to successfully infuse the familiar with  a jolt of something new.
