Today, Weaves shares new single and video for “Internet Tears”, a song which represents the start of a new era for the band, who is pushing its eclectic and adventurous sound into new places ahead of its anticipated third album.

Of the video, Weaves' Jasymn Burke says "I was watching something on the Internet that made me cry and started thinking about how ridiculous and funny and peculiar it is that we can sit alone staring at a screen and feel such strong feelings of happiness or sadness or anger while just browsing. It's like imposed feelings or something. Maybe you can relate."

Last month, Reuben and the Dark’s new album, un | love, hit the record store shelves, and  today, the celebrated songwriter Reuben Bullock shares the video for album track “weightlessness” which finds him giving something back to the skate community. The Berrics, who premiered the video, say Bullock “makes it clear that skating is where his heart is.”

"I wanted to make a video that felt light,” says Bullock. “Riding a skateboard has kept me young, and my relationship with Darcy over the years has had such a positive affect on my life. I wanted to capture those two things. Darcy was my little brother with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and 13 years later, we’re still close.

Skateboarding has been a teacher, learning to smile through pain. Push past fear. I’ve taken many lessons and feel like I owe it so much in return. “weightlessness” is a small gift back to a culture that has given me so much; friends, community, confidence, and individuality. And I’m always just looking for an excuse to get on a board."

Recently, Reuben and the Dark’s track “Black Water” from their debut album was featured in the long-anticipated trailer for Netflix’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Bullock also lent his voice to another block-buster trailer, performing “What A Wonderful World” on the trailer for the upcoming film Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr., Antonio Banderas, Emma Thompson, Rami Malek, Ralph Fiennes, and more.

un | love is Reuben’s most honest and captivating album to date, opening a window into one of the most dramatic times in Bullock’s life. The spirited band’s third record – following 2018’s Arms of a Dream, and 2014’s debut Funeral Sky – tells Reuben’s story of endings and hope for the future.

Produced by Reuben and the Dark with Marcus Paquin (The National, Timber Timbre, Local Natives) and Kevin Drew (of Broken Social Scene), un | love evokes the raw emotion of the songs with anthemic, atmospheric sound. In comparison to the polished songs of Arms of a Dream, the new album shows a drastic turn in Reuben’s ease as a writer and freedom as a recording artist. His voice is at once unbridled and fallible. Through the dense imagery of his poetry shines a light shot straight from Reuben’s soul.

Reuben and the Dark will embark on a Winter Tour in 2020 beginning February 7. Full dates can be found below. The band has shared stages with the likes of Vance Joy, Serena Ryder, The Strumbellas, Boy & Bear, and The Paper Kites. Reuben and the Dark's music has been heard in Handmaid’s Tale, The HIghwaymen, A Million Little Things, American Gods, Grey’s Anatomy, Ray Donovan and more.
